Well, for my comprehensive review (aka babbling excessively) see CoE.

FoG is very similar to Beren & Lúthien in that it compiles that variations of the tale written overs several decades, and published in several volumes of HoMe respectively UT (in the latter, the very detailed version in which Tuor does not even enter Gondolin despiten its length). The last third (of in total 300 pages, font size and line distance seem to be comparable to the 2007 "The Children of Hurin" and last year's "Beren and Lúthien") covers the "Evolution of the Story", and CRT's explanation about why the Gondolin tale (with Eärendil, Elrond and Elros) is more central and decisive to the whole legendarium than CoH and B&L. Both of these tales could stand as solitary stories, ending before the end of the "First Age", which only became a "First Age" with an end to it due to Eärendil's efforts. Then Elros mutates into the first and greatest king of Númenor, the central story of the Second Age, and Elrond has things to do in the Second Age and the Third Age. The turning point, of course, is Elrond (for quite a while the only child of Eärendel and Elwing, Elros is a late addition), sneaking his way into The Hobbit, and all that came after.

I found an e-book that was free for a day called "The Coronation" by Livy Jarmusch. I am up to chapter 7 so far. It's not my typical type of reading, but so far I have been mostly enjoying it.

Tevildo, Prince of Cats

A book by Stefan Klein, whose 2006 book "The Science of Happiness" (German original 2002 "Die Glücksformel") was an international bestseller. The one I'm reading now is the 2010 "Wir Sind Sternenstaub" (English translation 2015 "We Are All Stardust"), a collection of interviews with a wide variety of scientists.

The scripts for Space: 1999 Breakaway

Verlyn Flieger's edited "The Story of Kullervo", being an adaptation by JRRT himself while he was still a student at Oxford and not the original from the Finnish Kalevala. It contains JRRT's adaptation - unfinished, with notes on how to proceed to the end, like so much of his work - and a manuscript and a typescript of presentations on the Kalevala as a whole, apparently from two separate occasions the odd year after he had written his own adaptation of “Kullervo”.

The Varsian Kingdom: Arise To Fall written by our own Jax Nova. Highly recommend! Was so invested in the story I Read it in one day! That's 225 pages. Very good story and engaging characters.

The Count of Monte Cristo. I’m about a third of the way through and I’m loving it, the pages really fly even with the seemingly random tangents (which maybe aren’t so random after all).

Animal Farm by George Orwell! One of my favs.

I just finished For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway, it is one of the best books I've read.
