Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale, by Holly Black (I think). Interesting, but a disturbingly dysfunctional protagonist with dysfunctional friends and family members

Now reading T.H. White's "The Once and Future King." Completely and totally bizarre...all these knights talk like they're 20th century cab drivers...

I am currently reading nothing since I finished Eldest. Since I've heard a lot of people on here like His Dark Materials, I'm thinking about reading that one. May I ask what it's about?

ahh brilliant book, or books I should say as there are three of them. It's hard to say what they're about. Different worlds and stuff I suppose, though there's far more to them than that.
At the moment I'm reading the two towers and the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.

I love those books, Gwen, but I haven't read them in forever, so I wouldn't feel safe telling you what they're about...I just remember some of the characters. I loved the author.

I am currently in the middle of several books including the Silmarillion, The Two Towers (for the 56th time), HP 5 (7-8th time), Eragon, and Rebel Angels... all very good books might I add!
