Has anyone heard of her? Author of the "Inkheart" trilogy, Reckless, and more. What are your thoughts, favorite books, or favorite characters?

I've read the Inkheart trilogy! As is the case with most series, the first book is my favorite, although the other two are good as well. I really like that she has relevant quotes from other books at the beginning of each chapter - it's helped me discover some new books that I've never read.

I read Inkheart, attempted to read Inkspell but didn't get very far. Really liked Inkheart! And the movie was pretty good too. Even though they got Dustfinger's hair color wrong.

^hehe yeah. I actually haven't finished the trilogy myself. *shame on me* But I'm almost done with Inkspell, and I've read several of her other books. I especially like "Reckless" But so far Inkheart is still my favorite.

Oh! Oh my goodness! I totally forgot about those! I read them in middle school, but I think I might read them again now if I can find them.

My favorite Funke book was Inkheart, and I loved the trilogy. I can't wait for Reckless 2 to come out. I'd die if they made the first a movie...

^ Is Reckless a different series by Cornelia Funke? I've never heard of it before... is it comparable to the Inkheart trilogy? Would you recommend it?

It is a different series. It's darker than the rest of her books by far, though it still has the magic in it. I'd recommend reading it.

Hmmm, I'll have to read it sometime. Perhaps over spring break...

It's a good read, especially with the second book coming out so soon. If you like it you'll have no fear of the wait to see what comes next.
