I haven't been to that many concerts, but my top is definitely seeing Skillet at Kingdom Bound. My sister and my friend are both shorter than I am and they couldn't see much more than John Cooper's head. lol I ended up hitting a few people when I was jumping and pounding my fist in the air. Oops! They were all really nice, though.

I've only been to two "concerts" of this sort. By far the best was on April 24th of this year: Decyfer Down and Skillet.
A few other people have commented on seeing Skillet. They put on an incredible live show. It didn't feel like I was there to watch these celebrity rock stars perform; it seemed like the band was just there to have one big party with all 2000 of us. I was right by the stage, pressed up against it, so close I could have reached out and tripped the band members multiple times. It was an incredible experience. I laughed, screamed, headbanged, and yes, even cried a little.
I think that what really makes a band great is when they can make a strong connection with the audience. It's then that the concert becomes poweful and memorable.

Yes, thats what I'm talking about. A band can have this sort of show where everything seems right if not perfect, then the next night they go to the next city and play a technically better show but they don't "connect". Gotta love being at those 'connected' shows!

This is a bit of an aside to an actual 'concert' but a while back I was in the city and a busker with his electric guitar and amp was cranking out a most excellent cover of Black Sabbath's War Pigs. The acoustics of the buildings was just right and it carried well down Edward Street. Loved it. I tossed a fiver into his guitar case.
