Oh Gods, I remember that! I thought I was going crazy for sure. Hanson everywhere you turned! Next thing you knew there were all these "siblings" groups popping up everywhere trying to pull a Hanson, like The Moffatts Yeah... that was bad! lol
Not to mention all these Spanish/latino dance songs like Macarena or Bailando
And then... there was... Aqua

Ha, Aqua, do you remember "Barbie Girl" that's pretty repetitive...."I'm a barbie girl in a barbie world, life is plastic, it's fantastic." Wow, I didn't know I still remember parts of that song...
Ha, My entire 4th grade class was obsessed with that song...oh and that one Spice Girls song.....

You mean wannabe? ooh and that 'Stop' song!! uugh, we had some pretty horrible music in our time, but I'd rather listen to that top 40 stuff that the new top 40 stuff...uuugh. There is just one music style in the charts now 'bad dance techno grossness'
I think I still have my old spice girls, Aqua and Hanson cd's hiding in the bottom of my cupboard somewhere.
I dont think I've ever heard of the moffatts. Although, I do rememebr seeing pictues of these three brunette brothers in a teen magazine once...
My brain is riddled with memories of really bad catchy songs

The Moffatts were four brothers from Canada (if I'm not mistaken)... they became "popular" around 1998/1999 I believe.
I definitely agree with ya Jo on that I'd rather listen to the Top 40 back then than the Top 40 now! Popular music has been going downhill since the mid '90s and now there is just no hope for it anymore, sadly. The '80s and early '90s were the BEST!
