I LOVE THIS SONG. Seriously. At one point I was addicted to it. I haven't heard it in forever, but still...much better than the original.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eviHjU6GPEU ^I just now found a version of this by our very own Ellethwen. Anyhoo, the video is beautifully made and the song itself is stunning.
Eh, the song was all right, I think. It's honestly just me but I am growing tired of these generic rock bands that somehow accomplish singing too much while not saying a whole lot.
Honestly, Ellie, are you trying to get me to buy Mass Effect? I swear, I think you're working for Bioware and you've got this huge commission waiting for you. From what I read from the comments, it appears in the end and it really suits the ending theme of what I can only imagine an epic video game. The vocalist's soft voice is just hair-raising and I liked it well enough.
"Sexy Boy" was just something I found on my iTunes and I liked it.
i like this, a lot. it's definitely not my favorite of hers, but like everything i've heard by her it's catchy and poppy when you're in the mood for that kind of thing.
Narsha has a really good voice and that performance always makes me a little sad. She confessed after she sang that song that she went through a really bad break-up not long before and chose that song as her final message to her ex.
As for the song you posted. I hadn't heard that song by them before. Lifehouse is always a good group. I really liked the song. It's very relatable to everyone at some point... I loved the simplicity of the MV as well.
The video may have been flagged 19+ but I hope someone can still watch it. I love that this artist dares to bring to light things no one wants to talk about. It gets her into a little trouble in her country but I applaud her for doing what she does. http://youtu.be/zsPZ3XopF80
The Good: The lyrics are good and she has nice vocals. The Bad: Over-produced cheap computer programmed puff-pop video-game sound that is too repetitious. slightly over-mixed vocal. She would sound much better singing this song with a clean mix and some real musicians playing instruments.
I've been into the band FAUN of late, and have found myself playing this live clip fairly regularly, preferring it to the recorded track on their album 'Eden'.

Really interesting band, cool how they had a lot of unique instruments.
Here is the last song I posted when she did it acoustic, since you said you would like to here it done that way.
MUCHBetter! I'd gladly go see her at an acoustic show!
I really like Tinta by Faun. It's sung in Spanish by Germans....
Here is a good English translation:
Would the sea be the ink and the sky the paper could I not write then, how deep my love is.
I love you more, than leaves in the air whirl, than the sky has stars and grains of sand are in the sea.
I love you more, than grains of sand are in the rivers and fish in the sea.
If you would enter my heart and could see my feelings, you would be more content and love me much more.

^ Really nice song. I liked the whole Celtic vibe too. Haha. I have seen Germans sing in so many languages. It's amazing...
This is honestly probably my favoutite folk song ever. I was a little sad I couldn't sing it in vocal class a few years back because it was not in the book we had. It's actually a really depressing song but it is so hauntingly beautiful. My favourite versions are by Capercaillie/Karen Matheson. "Ailein Duinn" - Capercaillie
English lyrics from Scottish Gaelic:
How sorrowful I am When I rise early in the morning
Chorus: Ò hì, I would go with you Hì ri bhò hò ru bhì Hì ri bhò hò rinn o ho Brown-haired Alan, ò hì, I would go with you
If the sand be your pillow If the seaweed be your bed
Chorus
If the fish are your candles bright If the seals are your watchmen
Chorus
I would drink, though all would abhor Of your heart's blood after you were drowned
I love the simplicity of everything. The video was wonderful as were the lyrics. It's a really good song. I have to say I am happy the ASL was accurate too.
