I randomly listened to her song "The Writer" yesterday and adored it. Since then I've heard "Guns and Horses", "Under the Sheets", "Starry Eyed" and "Every Time You Go". I think she's got a beautiful, honest voice! I'm not into too much of her type of music, but her songs are catchy and different. has anyone else given her a listen?
Okay, you've gotten me hooked after only two songs! I looked up her cover of Elton John's "Your Song" first and loved it (it's a perfect song in every single way) and I just finished listening to "The Writer." She does have a very distinct style, and I like that her songs (so far) have been very emotional and easy to connect to. And her lyrics are beautiful as well. She kind of reminds me of a mix between Regina Spektor and Florence + the Machine.

lol, I said the same thing in a PM I need to listen to a few more of her songs. I heard "Lights" today; that was good too. she does another cover, "Sweet Disposition" by Temper Traps, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IplEnGzNaKw beautiful
The chorus transposed into a lower key and modulated a little differently, but it's still beautiful. The piano accompaniment is absolutely gorgeous. I really can't choose which version I like better!

yes, that one's also beautiful! I like both. have you watched any of her live performances? she can sing as good, if not better, when she's live as opposed to her studio recordings. here's one of her live songs:
