Well personaly I like a lot of EM's radio edited songs ( Note radio) but I* want to know if I am the only one

It's not really his singing but his rapping. He is a genius artist though, too bad he's getting divorced...again!

I don't usually like rap, but I like the way his voice sounds, and he's a really talented songwriter, however... (this is a major however) I don't like all the negativity in his songs. I realize that life isn't dandy, and his certainly has not been, and I have no problems with songs that deal with frusteration, pain, etc, but most of his songs are so destructive, violent, etc.

Eminem is such a talanted songwriter. He's one of the few people in the entertainment business who really speaks his mind about everything and I highly respect that! Censoring his lyrics is a crime against free-speech (and universal human rights), but that's a whole other discussion I know I can't get into here.

He truly is an artist in every aspect of the word

I don't really care for rap. I don't really know what makes one artist good and another not so much. It's just not my style.

Not the biggest fan of Eminem or 'rap'. I don't think rap is actual music, it's just a beat with someone talking to you! Also, I'm not quite sure what exactly makes him so talented. Or good looking.

I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just voicing my opinion.

And also, isn't it supposed to be yay or nay, or did I miss something here?

I'm afraid I don't go for rap at all. I like all sorts of music, and those I don't like (such as some classical) I can appreciate, and see why people like it. But to me Rap is an enigma. I agree with Órelindë, I can't see how rap can be called music. To put in the words of my best mate 'it's just people talkin''

No doubt it strikes lots of people, as it talks about life, but so do may other types of music.

Well I don´t like rap too. But I love how Eminem puts reality into his songs... not just about sex & stuff which is way too common in songs nowadays... Yeah gran must agree with you... altho it´s hard to tell where your rights end...

^ I think it depends who's doing the censoring. If it's a radio station or such like that's playing it then they have a right to censor if they want as it's their station. However if the government or such like is enforing that you cannot buy an uncensored version (if you're an adult) then that is censoring free speech.

Huh? I don't get chur comment? Everyone has there own opinion, but since rap is categorized as music, it's music. Some say poetry is music, rap is music? Whatever, it's opinions. I'm not the biggest fan of rap, but I do like some. Today we just have a lot of gangsta rap, there's other kinds too. There not all bad.




I agree, I like almost every kind of music. I look in myself and find my own groove to it.
