We don't celebrate it over here, but our first day of summer was marked by low temperatures and pouring rain. Not surprising, because the larger part of our summer is like that We celebrate by dancing around a pole singing about frogs and other things.

Dear family, I'm considering cutting my hair. Should I? It's REALLY long at this point, and although I love it, it's getting more and more annoying. I sleep on it and always end up tugging on it sharply when I move around at night, which wakes me up because ouch. I want to dye it but it'd take too many boxes of dye to get all of it with the length it is now. Since I'm losing weight so rapidly I've started becoming bald - ok, not quite, but I do lose a lot of hair - and it's annoying to find the longest friggin' strands of hair all over the place. I never do anything with it anyway, because it's just in the way. I love braiding it and such and I would miss that, but at the same time I braid it only to get it out of my face.

If its getting problematic, then I say cut it. Besides, hair does grow back! And its amazing how something like a hairstyle change (if it turns out good) can be a mood pick-me-up. Heck, the simple act of chopping off a few inches and adding highlights makes my mood soar for the day

Yeah. I love my hair so much though, haha. But my hair grows really fast. I chopped off quite a few inches twice last year (last time somewhere in November, I think) and it's already grown way beyond where it was. And it was so nice, just then, when it was some inches shorter. My hair is so long and heavy, you know? Gosh, it's so hard to decide. I mean, even though it grows back it's a massive step. xD And right now my hair is my favorite thing about my appearance. This is what it looks like right now: I'm thinking of cutting it to just above my shoulders. (It's straightened in that picture, might I add.)

If you do cut it then I think just above the shoulders would look good. I'm not that daring yet, I get mine cut to where its just below my shoulders, plus I get it layered for a little extra pop. And I get being wary of cutting it, I love my hair too! My hair and my eyes. I've always wanted to do something really different but I always chicken out.

I like the styles in #s 1 and 2. The slight curls and waves look cute and fun, and the length looks good too.

Yeah, I'll probably end up with something like that. If I go ahead with it. xD

Or you could grow your hair out crazy long. I saw this one girl who had her hair grown out down to her ankles! I would so not want to have to wash that or blow dry it, talk about tangles and taking forever!

A few years ago, I was really ill, and cut all my hair off. It went from down to my waist, to being cut to just above my chin. I did it, because I was really ill. So ill, that I couldn't walk. It was horrible when it kept getting caught, when I was trying to move. I was the same. My hair was falling out at a drastic rate.
I 100% regretted it. It's taken me 4 years to grow it back, and for it to thicken out. Now, it's back to the length it was, and I'm still growing it. I love having my hair long.
It depends though, how you feel about it. No one could really tell you what's the right thing to do.

I like #1, it's still long enough that you can braid it if you want. I would never cut my own hair shorter than that or I would end up regretting it (shoulder length doesn't hold a braid anyway, and although I don't braid my hair everyday, I like to when I'm a little short on time). My own hair is the length of Thorin's (similar style, too) but the color of Fili's (natural, not dyed). I'm keeping my hair long (regardless of my age, since I can always wear it up when I get older), thank you very much. My grandmother's mother had long hair until the day she died, and she lived to be 97, so don't buy it when someone tells you that you're too old for long hair. If you don't mind the upkeep (I never have), then there's no need to change it if you don't want to.

I ended up not getting it cut. I can't really afford it. When I can afford it I'll just take a few inches off, I think. I don't know, I keep changing my mind haha.

I actually braided my hair after my shower, to keep it out of my way since it was wet. And now its all wavier than usual I like it!
