8)
I'm a man, and glad to be here as well. To me, this forum seems very balanced. I personally prefer the company of literate, articulate and sensitive women (making up the majority of posters that I have seen so far), to males anytime. *how's that for testosterone-laden commentary?*
8)

Hehe, I bet.
I normally post on a board system with probably a hundred-thousand guys. :S If you've been to boards.ign.com, then you'd know. ^_^
It's a good change, but I do like balance.

Strange, because a lot of people say that LotR is a 'boy book', yet to see so many females here.... it's a very good thing! But I'd like a few more guys to come along too... it's good to chat to them too! (I'm female, btw)

Yes, it is nice, but ever since we changed over and made a few modifications, we lost most of our boys... but a few are just idle... (by the way I am a boy for those of you who don't know it)

Well, I'll say that this is truth... My mother says that this is because women are more interactive. As you might noticed most of the webmasters are actually women... but don't worry about that, I don't think it's something very important.

Ok, this may sound bad, but definitely not intended that way. Lady Undomiel may be on to something here. Do you think it may be the well accepted fact that women verbalize more than men (20,000 words a day?) Forums allow them a secondary (or maybe for some primary) outlet for that communications energy? - WMW

lol probally does. I myself am female(not that i should have to state that lol I am LADY Alias tehe.) and the majority of boards Im on have little to none males....but I like having males around they give a different point of view, as for LotR being a 'boys book' good luck trying to prove that one lol.

Well, even though it's fun being among so many fellow gals, I do wish it were a LITTLE more balanced. Besides, it's not purple anymore, so guys won't be *as* turned away!
It really is kind of strange that LotR book fans used to be only guys and that the LotR movies were geared toward males between the ages of 18 and 24, but here we are almost all girls. And also, *supposedly* guys are supposed to dominate both the site running scene and the general computer scene, but I know very few male LotR webmasters.
Ah well...
Guys, go recruit some friends to join!

Well, I don't think I need to tell anyone that I'm female. >points to second word in username* I might be able to get my brother to join one of these days. He really likes Aragorn, so I think he might be tempted if I show him around the place a bit. We'll see!
