"You can't possibly hit the ball,
if you're thinking about
all the possible way's
you can miss."

My favourite quote is from "The Republic" by Plato (which is what I have to read for my Political Theory class.

"Nor must our young men be too fond of laughter. Anyone who gives way to excessive laughter almost always provokes a violent reaction."

Ha ha ha. *laughs excessivly* That is like my biography. I laugh WAY, WAY, WAY TOOO much. Ask Sidawatheil . . . she knows from personal experience.

^You seem to have some good posters at your school! Ours consist mostly of ones made by a year eight health class, and say things like 'dont smoke!' and 'dont litter!'. Lol.

My quote right now is thus:

'And the battle's just begun
There's many lost, but tell me who has won.
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart.'

~From 'Sunday, Bloody Sunday' by U2.

Okay, got a few Jim Rohn quotes:

"There are only 3 colors, 10 digits, and 7 notes; its what we do with them that's important."

"It doesn't matter which side of the fence you get off on sometimes. What matters most is getting off. You cannot make progress without making decisions."

"Affirmation without discipline is the beginning of delusion."

"Life asked you to make measurable progress in reasonable time. That's why they make those fourth grade chairs so small -- so you won't fit in them at age twenty-five."

And my all-time favorite:

"Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot, and you motivate him, now you have a motivated idiot."

Very thought provoking quotes, Pirate.

Here's mine for the day...

'Logic is a systematic method of coming to the wrong conclusion with confidence.'

Also,
'If mathematically you end up with the incorrect answer, try multiplying by the page number.'

I've had 3 periods of Maths today, cos of some government testing thing. It was a nightmare. :confused2:

Heres a good one that I made up:

"Individuality is the key to society
Except no fakes."

Also heres one I read somewhere...

"Never forget who you are, the world might, your comrads will, your hope will fade, but stay true, and spirit will pull you through"

I like:

When the first baby laughed for the first time, it's laugh broke into a thousand peices and they all skittered about, that was the begginning of faries"- Peter Pan :P

"When youre floating higer and higher in your bubble, Remember, remember that bubbles have a habit of bursting. The higher you float the further you will have to fall"- In a book I read called, Knoughts and Crosses, it's basically saying, don't get too big for your shoes :P

I LOVE noughts and crosses, it's an absolutely fabulous book!

Here's my quote:

"What most people mean by truth...is only half the real truth. It doesn't tell you all that went on inside everybody. It simply gives you a lot of facts that happened to have been hidden away and were prehaps a lot better hidden away. It's rather treacherous stuff" J.B Priestly, Dangerous Corner

Oh and I like this one too:

"Time is like water, it can't run uphill..." From ?

The pessemist curses the wind
The optimist expects it to change,
and the Realist adjusts the sails

I'm going to live forever or die trying
