I've had a great day so far. We're not really doing any celebrating, because I wanted to go see a movie for my birthday treat. The only film I want to see is Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. So the celebration is postponed until it comes out in the cinema. I don't like real life parties, so there won't be a party or anything.

Cool, I'm going to get some fish tomorrow! My cloud darting minnow Ariel died a week ago and my dad said I can have another batch of them. Believe it or not, she was six and a half years old, she was supposed to live a year. It's true. Anyway, I hope Gandalf is well and has lots of fun (I'm not sure if that's quite the right word ) during his hopefully long life

My mom cut my hair way too short. It used to be as long as Thorin's, but now it's more the length of Kili's, a length I hate! I can't even imitate, and I hate that! I wouldn't even mind if it was as long as Thorin's in the prologue (which means it has to gain about four inches), since then at least I could braid it (hopefully, it will be by Halloween). I'm not letting anyone touch my hair until Christmas, since then (hopefully), it will be a length I can live with. I miss my flowing locks, so hurry up and grow back (though they say that hair grows faster in the summer, so we'll see), since I can't do anything with it this short (though I can clip it back like Thorin does in the prologue, so at least that's something). I should have stuck with the original plan and just had mom cut off about four inches (instead of eight), regardless of the fact that some pieces would have been shorter.

Well he made it through the first day, so I think he'll be fine! I woke up this morning a little nervous since i know you kinda have a 50/50 shot with them, putting them in a new environment and trying to get the water right for them and everything, but he was swimming around like normal. And I dont know about him, but I'm having fun watching him. He really likes his plant, I think, he hangs around it all the time And I'm sorry about your fish, she certainly lived a long time for a fish!

I got my fish today, her name's Morwen. Which (just in case you didn't know) is Theoden's mother's name. She's a Pear- Scale fish. She's swimming around in her tank atm. Today my hamster got a bit jealous as well. She saw me go into the room with the fish and looked at me crossly. It was so cute

I've found out some terrible new today that really let it down, even though I got my fish. My cat Holly died on Monday, she was 21 years old. She was so affectionate and purred all the time. And had the most weird sounding, crankiest meow ever. I loved her so much; she was so gorgeous. I'm really upset now and want to cry.

I find short stories impossible to write. With anything I write, I always want to know what happens next. I get hundreds of ideas swimming around in my head. The longer I wait to write it, the more I get. Sometimes it's horrible to deal with.

I'm sorry to hear that Gollumgirl. It never gets easier. A few years ago, a cat of mine passed. She was far too beautiful (inside and out) for this horrible world. I still get upset about it.
