Hope you can pop in Bella, if its Halloween themed we may need your zombie killing hubby!!! How about a haunted castle or something for a place? Oo, Dracula's castle! But all goofiness aside, true it doesn't have to be a Middle Earth place, we can branch out somewhere else if need be, for a different setting.

School is so terribly annoying... It keeps me far away from my computer nearly 24/7. Anyway, how is everyone? What's going on?

@Lembas: OMG! Congratz on your book! That is so exciting! Welcome back from Turkey, btw. I'm glad you had fun and dat view... So beautiful! @Randiriel: Welcome back. ^_^ How have you been? @Lhun: 18 days? That's so soon! I know you are going to have a lot of fun in NZ! It's super beautiful and the local Kiwis are wonderful, friendly people. ^_^ You'll be fine. Just enjouy yourself. ^_^ @Túrien: Even though school has been annoying I hope you have been doing well. I've been okay. Just busy juggling work, family, and my RL boyfriend. By the way... I LOVE your new set. Excuse me while I kinda fangirl over it. And oh my goodness. I haven't seen an AU party since like 2011!! It would be so amazing to see and be a part of one again. If only for a minute. I might be working depending on when it is going on. So Sean and I might be making brief appearances as well. Hmm... As for a location. Not going to lie the first two places that popped into mind as creepy location in Middle-Earth was Dol Guldur and Minas Ithil. Carn Dûm in Angmar also came to mind but that's technically in Lord of the Rings Online... We could always ask Elrond if we could use his halls for a fun gathering too. It might be a lot more safe than eveything that first popped into my mind. And might is a big understatement.

Dol Guldor and Minas Ithil definitely fit that category. Can I come to the party? I've never been to one. @Rinoa: Thanks. Gotta love those two

I'm cool with wherever we set it. I do hope it's a place that I either know, or can read up about on LotR wiki. Also, Lhun, sure that would be great, if we co-host the party. Hey, everyone, could I ask for your help on something? Okay, long story short, I'm working on the map and information about the elven kingdom I'm creating for fun. I have come up with this idea for a cavern of treasures. This cavern is litterally full of gold and gems, etc. But there is an enchantment on it. Where anyone can take some treasure if they wish. If they take something small and worth little, they will be able to live the rest of their life unharmed by the enchantment. But if they take something worth a great deal out of greed, they will be cursed with a miserable life. The cave also knows if they were sent to collect something for someone else, and curses the person that sent them. I want the cave to have something snappy for the writing on the cave wall. I like that, in RotK movie, where the phrase is "The way is shut. It was made by those who are dead, and the dead keep it." I want something that snappy and memorable. I litterally have nothing. Anything I come up with is too wordy, or doesn't seem memorable enough. It would be nice if we could throw around some ideas, to come up with something just right. So, help please?

Hm... For starters, do you want it in elvish or common? And if it's in elvish, Sindarin or Quenya?

Um, neither elvish language? It's not a LotR fanfic or anything it's entirely original.
Only similarity is the type of elves. Near human, but with pointy ears and immortal. I only chose that, because the Santa's elves type frighten me. All I'll say why is childhood traumas, and leave it at that.

Ah... I see. Santa's elves are scary. Really, I get you. I cried when my parents put me on Santa's lap all those years ago. I'll think about something.

Alright, but I would like to discuss it, if you do come up with something. I might not use exact word for word. Sometimes talking something through with other people helps. For example, if you did come up with something, I might think that maybe one or two words could be changed, and then discuss that. Help develop the text that way. Because, on my own, my mind is blank right now.

I know the feeling. Do any of you do NaNoWriMo? Because I've gone blank during that before, and it wasn't pretty. I'll see what I can think of, or any ideas. I'm not the best with words, but, oh well.

Popping in! I think either ME places mentioned above is creepy enough for a Halloween type party! And also, of course you can come Turien!!! Be glad to have you!! As for your cave wording, Erin, I'm afraid I'm drawing a blank as well. If anything pops into my mind I'll let you know!

Yay partay! Draculas castle sounds an awesome idea Tink, but so does somewhere creepy in ME. What about the Witch Kings castle at Carn Dum? I'm all out of ideas Erin, but you could try re-writing what you've written above in a more concise way as a starting point. See if you can write the rules of the cave in like 10-15 words as that will really emphasise the themes behind it which should make it easier to come up with a snappy phrase.

And maybe this will inspire you for further ideas?

The rhyme might be a bit overdone, but I've got a thing for that. And maybe this will inspire you for further ideas? Yeah, that really does help. Thanks Lhun. Also, thanks for the thoughts everyone. This has helped. Someone else did suggest another idea, that I could use to merge with this one. After I play around with the words, or maybe leave it as it is, it might really work. I already do have a less wordy description of the cave, and the rules written down. I had to use more detail, because no one here knows exactly how the caves works but me, before reading that description. I swear, the more vague I put it in my notes, the more wordy the warning gets. I think the most absolute shortest description I could get, would be; "Hoard of treasure. Take whatever. Enchantment. The greedy are cursed. The humble are unharmed." Fourteen words.
