Hey, I think that is a good thing! Those sound like some really neat ideas! Actually I really like the sound of the girl who runs off to Ireland.... I am partial to Ireland but my imagination takes that prompt to fantastical places right off the bat!

I can't believe I've been gone a month!

ZOMG!

Okay.
How is everyone?
Anything happen lately?
Seen anything/read anything good lately?
I could ask like a billion questions here.
I'll stop now.

I've been good actually. I needed some time away from some horrible people on my exclusive social media accounts. I've done so much writing. My book is coming together nicely. I totally redid the cover, with a matching header and footer, to make it look really nice - that kind of thing is important to me. If the document file looks good, it clears my mind and helps me create. All the flaws in the early stage of the book have come together nicely, with much better flow and progression.

Does anyone watch NCIS? I got into it a month ago. I brought seasons 1 - 8 in a boxset, for a really good price. I practically absorbed 9 seasons of it, in two weeka. 10, if you include season 1 of NCIS: Los Angeles, but I didn't like that all that much.

Hi Erin! Welcome back! I'm glad your time away has helped you feel more refreshed and it also sounds like you've had some great progress on your book!! Though you've been missed, I'm glad you enjoyed a bit of a break. :)

I've been doing well! I just went out for lunch and a shopping trip with a friend today, bought some stuff I never thought I would buy (such as a bikini and skirt swimsuit and a short, strapless dress. for background, despite my slender build, i've never been confident with myself in any way, never thought of myself as pretty, all that crap. well, i'm changing that, slowly but surely, and I'm feeling better because of it!), found a cd that I've been looking for for months but suddenly seemed to be the most elusive cd in my town and bought it! I had a really fun time hanging out with my friend, so it was a great day. :)

As to seeing anything good lately, I did just go see the new live action Cinderella movie in theaters, I thought it was great, the colors seemed so vivid, I loved the costumes, it was cute, it was funny at times, it made me tear up a little at others. I cant wait for it to come out on dvd! Oh, and I finally got the see the movie Becoming Jane, which people have told me to watch, and I really liked that one as well. Made me want to dive back into Jane Austen's world! And nope, not reading anything new at the moment, nearly done with The Shining, which has been good but creepy, and like I mentioned before, I feel like diving back into Austenland next! What about you, seen or read anything good? And no, I'm afraid I dont watch that show. I watch a million others though

@Jax: I know, Ireland just seems like the land of fantasy! If I could, I'd so pack a bag and just go, maybe gain a little inspiration myself! But it seems as though I'm living vicariously through my character. She's working a dead end job, a non-existant love life but an irritatingly hanging on ex to deal with, overbearing mother, and after a rather rough day she just throws her hands up and says 'to heck with it all', packs a bag and hops a plane to Ireland, where her plans are to see where the road takes her and hope her pen flows across the blank pages of her notebook as a result. I dunno, we'll see how it goes I guess.

Funny you should mention Jane Austin. Lately, I've been thinking of Pride & Prejudice a fair bit. When I do, I usually end up watching all of the adaptations I have. The TV drama that I love, with Colin Firth as Mr Darcy. Then the crappy one with Kiera Knightly as Elizabeth--I dislike her as an actress, but I watch it anyway. Then that TV series they did, Lost In Austin, where a modern day fan of the book, Amanda switches places with Elizabeth. I don't know why, but I can't watch just one, I have to watch them all.

Actually, I have watched some good stuff lately. But not that many actual movies, because I've been really into NCIS. I'm on my second watch through. I did however watch that movie, The Maze Runner. It's not bad, but there were too many plot parts that bugged me, to make me really really like it. So I brought the trilogy of books, and the prequel, hoping that reading the books would help me better understand it. Only got as far as chapter 1 of Maze Runner so far. I got Mockingjay part 1 on bluray, and loved seeing that again. I do have some other films to watch, but haven't been able to squeeze in time to watch them yet. I usually wait until I get to the end of the season I'm watching, before I watch anything else. It wastes too many post-its, writing what the next episode is, to keep my marathon in the right order.

LOL, talk about wall of text! XD

My book, I wouldn't say that it is something spectacular and would look like very little progress to anyone else, but to me it makes a big difference. I've been working on this thing for two years and three months. I am determined to make sure that I am 100% happy with it, before I say that I'm finished.

Welcome back indeed Erin Lunaire! :)

Tinkerbell, Yes, Ireland certainly does have that feel! That sounds like a good starting plot. :) I like it anyways.

Worked both jobs today, looooong day, also got the base for the Minnie Mouse hat crocheted, all thats left is adding the ears and the bow. Also got another symbol made for my Avengers purse, so I now have Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Widow made, just need a little bit of "clean up detail work" and they are ready to sew onto the purse base...which I still need to make. I'm making sure I can make all the hero symbols before I get to work on actually making the purse part, since thats quite the endeavor. But things are rolling! :)

Well, I have everyone symbol done except for Thor's! I left him for last, because I have a feeling I'll be cussing the most with that one, and it'll take the longest because of trying to figure out how to do that dang hammer! But if I get his figured out tomorrow, then I'm going to get started on making the purse part. I'm excited. So far it looks good! I'll definitely post pictures!, if I can figure out Thor's hammer that is  Though I may redo the Black Widow symbol, possibly. May try something else for it instead, dunno, still debating on that.

All symbols done, just need some clean up detail work! Also have two hats nearly finished, which is good. I'm going to have to tell the other two that its going to be longer than expected to roll those out, because I can definitely feel my wrist starting to act up. Getting that numb, tingling feeling in the underside of my wrist while I work, which is not a good sign. I hate that. I set up the 29th to be delivery day, I do not like breaking promises. But I also do not like being in a wrist brace for a week or two. Just need to take it easy over the next few days, I suppose. :)

How is everyone doing?

Hello dear children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren! 'Tis your old Grand Matriarch Eru here, stopping by for a brief visit. Hope you all are doing well and that you're eating your vegetables. :D

Now, go do your homework, tidy your rooms and get the newspaper for Grandpa Éomer. :karate:

The conversation about Ireland a few posts back got me thinking, just how difficult the Irish Gaelic language is. I have been looking for a translation to the words "hear my voice" in Irish Gaelic, but everywhere I look has a different translation.

Other than that, I've honestly started to feel invisible lately. Like nothing I do actually makes a difference. As well as lonely. So not good.

Hit a bit of a block with my book. It happens. I'll probably start another project, to get my mind focused on something else. That will get me focused again.

@Tinker Bell That sounds like a pain... (no pun intended) with your wrists and all. :yuck:

@Eru *waves* hey good to see you here! Don't worry I always eat vegies and my room is a total WRECK... er, I mean, uh... it's good! :P

@Erin Yes, I looked into Gaelic and it IS hard... It is such a beautiful language though!

Sorry to hear about you feeling down... I lived in that state for my whole teen years and I know first hand it's no fun. If nothing else come on here and chat! I'm always up for good conversation, good RPs, or anything else. ;P

What type of books do you write? I love writing and love to read other peoples writing! Do you have anything you could post on the forum?

I know how writers block can be... not fun either. I generally do the same thing, just switch focus onto something else for a time. Or work on minor/non essential lore for my story that will help "progress" it but just not on paper. ;)

I write varied genres. I get an idea in my head, and just run with it. My book is under lock and USB key. I really don't want anyone to see it, until I'm finished with it. There isn't anything I can show to do with it. Nothing other than that is worth showing really. Just silly little things, that I've written for fun. They are all on my small notebook/laptop. Small enough for me to carry around, when I'm caught up in a story. That notebook laptop is specifically for stories only. No internet or anything else.

Sounds fun. :) No worries, I completely understand. I don't like showing my stories until they are done either.

As far as "worth sharing" just remember you are usually your own worst critic. ;) If you ever do decide to post anything let me know I'd love to check it out. And if you ever want to just chat about writing let me know ;) I could do that all day too. lol

Yeah, my very first laptop I ever got was jut like that. I didn't do anything other than write on it and hoard away a ton of starwars desktop pictures. :P
