We spent a day in Chicago and saw The Second City perform (a super-famous Chicago improv comedy group, a lot of people on Saturday Night Live made their start at The Second City, like Tina Fey for example) and went shopping, then the next day we drove up to Wisconsin to this cute little town on Geneva Lake and it was awesome and we stayed for two days, and then we went to Milwaukee before we went home. It was my first foray into Wisconsin, and I quite liked it, actually!

Glad you had fun! The Second City sounds like it would be a good thing to see! And I'm just curious, is there anywhere in the USA thats gettin some rain? I jumped on the 'marriage date in the signature' bandwagon!

Have you seen their Harry Potter houses skit? There's some Hufflepuff bashing, but it's still quite funny. Lake Geneva is fun too... I always get a kick out of the fact that the town is called Geneva Lake and the lake is called Lake Geneva.

Well, we can't really send the rain over now because it got all sunny and hot again. Go figure.

Lithi, you can have some of my rain. Today we had no rain, but there's a promise of a lot of rain from tomorrow untill Sunday. Luckily the temps are still low for this time of year, so nothing to complain about so far! Ariadne394 wrote: This is exactly why summer is my least favorite season. Hello, mum, how's my dad? Is he happy that you adopted me?

He's not a fan of adoption as a general rule, but once I explained the mayhem caused by having two Lokis in the family tree that are related, he warmed up to the idea.

Fall is where it's at, the temperature should never get above 75 degrees (F). We're really, really dying for rain. We got a little on Sunday, and supposedly we're going to get some over the weekend, but we have to pass through fire to get to it. Ugh. Not looking forward to the 100+ temps the rest of the week. On the other hand, I get a week and a half off, so yay!
