Wow, everythin sounds fantastic! And I agree that the lines should start with Arwen. And yes, I think people should be allowed to reclaim their spouses if they want to. Ennostiel, i have no problem with you posting a thread about the spouses. I wont be turning down help from anyone who knows how these things work. :)

Actually, I think we should also send out pm's for spouses, because I doubt everyone will check the randomness section. I'd be willing to do that if no one else is willing to.

I just read through the posts from the past couple of days. Great to see that the Family Tree organising is picking up again! :)

I agree that we should just get the ball rolling and see where it takes us, what the interest is and so on. If Enno wants to organise the clamining/re-claiming of spouses that could easily start now. What is needed here is either to start up a re-claiming thread and/or make a list of people who used to have spouses and then PM them. But in order not to stall the process I think we should set a deadline for people to reply.. like 3-4 weeks or so...
In the meantime, people might want to discuss how to claim new spouses and set up some rules for a fair game. Should people draw straws or something like that? Because first come, first serve might be the easiest way but not necessarily the most fair! ;)

Regarding who the line founders should be I agree that we might do with only one at the moment because the fun of the trees is the interaction that takes place in the roleplaying threads among the family members, so spreading it over too many lines/threads might take out the dynamics and randomness! :P
Even though everyone technically was related because the other line starters were sisters to Arweb I kinda like the idea that she is still the mother of everyone! Also, keep in mind that the line founder doesn't necessarily have to be the line starter.. meaning that a Family Tree Organiser could start the thread and edit the first post with new members. But that person needs to be one that will be dedicated to the Family Trees because there will be quite some work in the beginning. The mods can edit posts and I'd be willing to help out too. :)

As for the logic in who's related.. there is none! Like Raina said people just came in and asked to be adopted and someone who came along adopted them. The way it usually worked was that 2 people knew that they were mother/daughter and then roleplayed from that or a group of 3-4 people knew that they were sisters and then they would put it in their signatures like "Sister to Luthien" or something. It didn't matter very much how people were related as long as they were part of the trees.

Well, there's about 10 people in the 'Who's Interested' thread that want to be a part of the Trees, then of course there's those of us who've been trying to help get them started again who want to be a part of them too. :)

Ugh. Sorry I haven't been around lately. First week back to school and I've been incredibly busy. Sorry about that! Glad to see things are going well! Looks like we're up and running... almost. Okay. We're like running in slow motion then. XP

Its alright. School can be a bother! Ummm...I dunno, right now I think we're workin on the spouses and stuff, trying to decide what exactly to do about that (I've already got my man picked out, lol!). Anyway, I posted up a thread askin if anyone was interested, and I think we've gotten enough feedback to know we could made a tree work. Right now I'm just waitin around in case my help is needed. :)

Well, I'm hopin to be able to snag my Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr's version of Holmes that is). I figure I always have pictures of him in my banner, so why not marry him :lol: And he's not one of the old spouses either, I already checked on that, and I havent really run into any other Holmes obsessed people on here either, so maybe I'll get lucky and get my man! ;-) Who would you like to have?

Sherlock isn't taken, Frodo is but by a member who hasn't been on for almost two years, and the 11th Doctor is free as well. :) So I think you'll all be fine, but I'll get it all up properly next monday. I'm back at college tomorrow and friday, and working the weekend so I don't have time at the moment, but I have next week off so I'm still happy to sort the spouses out :)
