^ Ehehehe... I didn't see many people dressed up where I saw it But oh well. "Revenge of the nerds" LOL We recently got a new comic shop in my neighborhood, and whenever we get in the car, I beg her to let me go. Unfortunately the answer has been 'no' every time so far. I will find a way to get there though!

Yeah, our local comic shop closed down a few years ago, so I havent been able to get my hands on any comics in a while. Other than some graphic novels here and there. When I can buy comics, I like to look for ones from the 90's, because those were the ones I read when I was a kid, and unfortunately got stolen when I took them to school.
Welcome back Ness! Hope you had a fun summer, though it was busy.

Yeah, when I look for comic books online, they're all the shiny new ones with pix from the movies and such. But I really want some of the old ones. Hey Ness!

^ I DID. Nice to see you back! I want to start school so bad--long summers with nothing to do are actually the worst.

SKITTY! *attack-hug* How are you?
Yeah, I can see how a summer with nothing to do would be boring...having started school, though, I'd savor the feeling. XD When do you start?

I started school, too! I'm a sophomore in high school now. And my goal for this year is to create a drama club, so I just need to ask our music teacher about that. Speaking of, my musical theatre class is going great for the first few days of school!

I'm going into eighth grade on Tuesday. And I still have a lot of work to finish before I go back!

I move in on the last week of September, and then there's a week of orientation/parties, so I don't start properly learning until October 8th, it looks like. Of course, I also stay until July, but this extra month here is especially bad since all my friends have started school and I'm still at home, alone.

Welcome back Arabella! And Harthad! Both of my daughters have popped in today. I wish you both luck, and everyone else on here too, durin the first few weeks of school! Hearing y'all talk about school stuff is making me miss it all. I miss the learning, and yes, even the challenge of homework. My mind rebels at stagnation , so school was perfect for me. Now I'm out of school, cant find a job, and I'm bored out of my mind, and considering going to back to school for somethin else. I just haven't the faintest idea what.

^^ Oh, that's gotta be rough. But you could always do what Sherlock does when he's bored: Shoot holes in the walls and spraypaint yellow everywhere. (at least the BBC version does that )

Ara, you're back! Oh man Lithoniel, I know exactly how you feel. In one respect it's nice to still feel like "summer" (ie. I have to remind myself what day it is) but there's nothing to do except fill out job applications and volunteer places to get experience to put on job applications. Enjoy school while you can, friends.

I've been out of school since last year, and still cant find a job in a veterinary clinic. Theres just no openings in my area, unless i drive all the way up to the city, and I'm not going to use that much gas, plus I'm terrified of the city. And unfortunately it seems havin unpaid volunteers could pose a liability in clinics. I'm gettin pretty disgusted and depressed about the whole thing.

I can imagine feeling lost when you've finished school and can't find a job! My summer break took 3 months this year, and I was already bored out of my mind after three weeks Having a summertime job helps, but after I while I found I was missing the intellectual challenges my study provides.. I even started missing my statistic courses
