Seriously, half the people at this site have misspelled my name. To those people, I don't mean any offence to you, I just need to let it out. PLEASE spell it right. By the way, has anyone else on the forum had someone misspell their username?

I commonly have my name misspelt as elm or elemire, but I figured it can't be half as bad as yours. : P I'll take note not to ever call you elenya in future. ^^

So, Elenya, I hope you're having a good day.
Lol. Sorry. Couldn't resist.
I've noticed a couple of people getting it wrong... it must be so annoying! I only have my name mispelt when its a typo sort of thing... not actually typing the wrong name like you get.

I think it's how the human mind works though. You know that we can read words even though all the letters are in the wrong place, because we read the word as a whole not every letter. 'Elen' is much more common than 'Enel', 'elen' and 'ele' are already in our database of words that we use often, which is why when looking at your name quickly, most of our brains would read Elenya. There's nothing we can do about it, it's just how our minds work.
I can see how this may upset you though, it's never fun to be called by the wrong name over and over again. I think I replied to something you said in a thread and it wasn't until I had posted it, I realized I had done that very same thing (spelling your name Elenya) and so I edited the post.
I can't remember if anybody misspelled my name so far. Most people just call me Eru anyways which isn't that hard to remember, hehe.

My gets mistyped alot as 'Shieldmiaden' or 'Sheildmaiden', ect. But now that I have SM as my nickname, that doesn't happen as often. I think it's kinda funny when I see it mispelled though.

If I'm referring to somebody's screen name I always just copy and paste their name from their post, that way you don't have to type it, and you won't make any mistakes! hehe

My name has been typoed once or twice too (like Eneya, Enelia etc) Elf Girl wrote: Hm, I think I'll get used to it. ^_^ Lolz. I can't remember if anybody misspelled my name so far. Most people just call me Eru anyways which isn't that hard to remember, hehe. I didn't know that. I feel kind of guilty for complaining now. But thanks for that. I'll think of it next time... Anyway maybe I should shorten my name so people wouldn't misspell it. Yes, I do that a lot too. In fact, I'm doing it pretty much right now.

I'm always copying and pasting too. Glad to know I'm not alone in doing that.

Yeah, that does get annoying. When my name at old fourms usded to be the insanely long name of Ellethwen, Maiden of hte Stars, everyone calle dme Maiden, when I said Elle or Elleth. Then people call me El, which I don't like.
I might have called oyu that...I just read too fanst to notice Elenya, not Enelya.

Also remember there is a forum member named Elenya, she is a friend from another forum. I get her and you, Lady Enelya, mixed up sometimes though (but i've never called you Elenya, or her Enelya, i just get it confused in my mind. And I have had my name misspelt quite a few times as "Lutheren" at another forum

OH BELIEVE ME...I know how that feels!!! No one ever spells my first name wrong, Haldir is an easy one, BUT ITHILLEN..."Ithilian, Ithilien, you name it, it's been spelled that way, at one time or another." So yeah...I just copy/paste...makes it a WHOLE lot easier...
