Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but the isn't anywhere for non-LotR games.
Firstly I must say how much this game is going to kick some major posterior. And I must give you all a link to the Elder Scrolls website where you can see some of the amazing screen shots of this game, soon to be released (see my sig). Website:
www.elderscrolls.com . I played the last Elder scrolls game, Morrowind, and I thought it was one of the best games ever. So, following suit to every Elder Scrolls game, this one is going to be better than anything before it. And the people at Bethesda are amazing.
A little more information about this game: It's an RPG single player, just like its predecessors. Its set in a place called Tamriel (like all the others) but in a different province to those that cam before. This one is set in the main province of Cyrodil. A fantastically computer realised world. For all the proper info on it, see the elder scrolls site.
I was wondering if anyone else was looking forward to playing this game, or has played any of the previous Elder Scrolls games.
Bring on the release and the fun!!!
No-one posted in this thread before and so presumeably no-one is bothered, but i thought I'd post a little about this game since it has been released and I've had a chance to play it a little.
(for some idea about the graphics and some gameplay go here and download the countdown videos:
http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/media_movies.htm [for smoe idea of the amazingness of the game watch the 'one week to go' and for some combat see the '2 days to go')
This is defineatley the best graphically realised game I have played, and whilst I have not played it for very long I can say the gameplay is fantastic too. The controls are easy enough to pick up, and it gives plenty of time to master them before the game-proper begins. The prologue instructs you on how to do each of the necessary gameplay functions.
The voice talent is also great for this game, with the likes of Patrick Stewart playing the emperor. (Sean Bean also does the voice for one of the charcters [see the priest in countdown video 4])
Its easy to combine magic and swords in combat. Arrows are well realised with the game gravity causing the arrows to arc like they should. they also stick into bit of the scenery, so you can retrieve them, always assuming you can find them.
Anyway, enough of me enthusing about how good this game is. All I can say is I highly recommend it (if your PC meets the specs) to all and sundry, and the best way to get the feel of the game is to actually play it.
