Anyone here that likes anime? And if so, what are you into? I figured someone around here might like something.

I will admit that I'm not the biggest anime fan, but there are a few series that have me hooked for various reasons.

One Piece: This one is my biggest favorite. I've watched, and kept up with the dubbed version of the anime. And have been reading on in the manga. It's goofy and out there, but I guess my biggest thing is that because of it's funny antics, it helped cheer me up during a time of depression. But also that, no matter what they went through, they had the determination to come through to the end. And usually it was all for the sake of friendship. I would be lying if I didn't say that my depression would have been darker without this one.

Devil May Cry: It's only got like... 20 episodes or so. And is based off a video game series (that I love. Well, the originals. Not the reboot. I dislike the reboot). I could watch these over and over again to be honest.

Fairy Tail relatively new to this one. Still working my way through the anime.

Rouroni Kenshin An older series. It could probably be called my first anime. I always thought it was cool because the main character was a redhead who was both goofy and B.A.

Sword Art Online: Though I've only watched season 1. I just like the fact that the main couple is a redhead(well... strawberry blonde? In some lightings and concept arts it's more red, others it's blonde, others it's brown) and a black haired boy (and I like that fact because it's like my boyfriend and I!). Also, it has to do with video games. A lot of the 'dates' my boyfriend and I will do is play video games together. Usually MMO's like Lord of the Rings Online or World of Warcraft! And I really liked the concept of the virtual world!

I did really like Avatar: Last Airbender series,
Also used to watch the Gundum series, those were quite interesting.

Oh and Zoids! That was a good one!


These are all fairly old ones though, but if someone likes anime and has not seen them you should look them up! Worth the watch.

I'm into some anime, but I prefer english dubs over subs.

Ouran High School Host Club
This was my first anime. I have seen it in both sub and dub. I have the dub on DVD, so I can watch it whenever I want. I did watch the sub online though, when I was first getting into it. Some people on a forum were talking about it, and I thought "what the heck" I'll give it a look. I watched one episode, then another, then another. I ended up watching 5 episodes in one night. From then on I was hooked. I've collected all the manga, and I love those too.

Vampire Knight
This one, I was in Forbidden Planet ~ which is I guess, like a comic book store ~ and I wanted something different to read. I was getting the last two in the series of Fullmetal Alchemist, and had to pick one as the freebie. They do a buy two get one free offer on manga. I picked up book one of Vampire Knight, and figured "What the heck? Might as well." I LOVED it. Couldn't put the book down. I had to get the DVD boxset of series one. I watched that, and was stunned by how good it is. And the cliff hanger, OMG. The day after watching the last episode, I had to rush back to Forbidden Planet to get Vampire Knight Guilty.

Cardcapters Sakura
I watched about 55 episodes of it online, but never finished it. I prefered the first series, when she was collecting the clow cards. I did read the first manga book, sort of. But I read something, that really didn't sit right with me. So, I set it down and never picked it up again.
I do love Madison's song though.
