Other then fanfics based on Land Before Time and Pirates of the Caribbean along with a major Kingdom Hearts crossover fic(Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars thrown into the mix, etc.) I've been wanting to do a Lord of the Rings fanfic based on the idea of "What would happen if the Evil Side won" or "What would happen if the evil side was winning"
Now, i've got this posted on quite alot of other LOTR forums that im on, and so im gonna bring the idea here and see what others think.
I've been wanting to write a fanfic based on the idea of "What would happen if the evil side won?" but i will need help and alot of it.
The fanfic i have in mind will be about three sides: Mordor, Isengard and "Hope"
Mordor and Isengard. Strangely enough, their allience isn't exactly doing to good. Why? Sauron either
A: Is tired of their allience and wants Middle-Earth for himself.
B: Is afraid that Saruman is, actually, Stronger then him and will try to take Middle-Earth for himself.
C: Scam. Used Saruman for his own needs and now that all of Middle-Earth belongs to the bad side, has no further use for Saruman.
Or D: All of the above.
Early on in the story, everything is all hunky dory between Mordor and Isengard, later on though it starts to be a little iffy, and then after that: War..
As for the side called Hope: do you remember the two rohirram kids in the second movie, Freda and Eothain? the two that fled their village while the mother stayed? Well, they (And the Mother. Morwen, was it?) will be the main characters for Hope, along with Eowyn, Gandalf and (Maybe) Eomer..
Big problems though: I have no clue where to start the fanfic or what to title it for that matter. I've watched the movies to the point that i have lost count, but what about the books? Should i read those ones as well before writting or look some of the stuff up? Should i roleplay as some of the characters to get a feel on how they act? or what else?
So far here are the main characters..
Mordor: Witch-King, Gothmog, Mouth of Sauron, Sauron, Gorbag and Shagrat. Maybe even that orc with the skull on his head?
Isengard: Lurtz, Grima, Saruman, Sharku, Ugluk, Snaga, Grishnahk.
Hope: Morwen, Freda, Eothain, Eowyn, Gandalf, Elrond, Galadrial and maybe Eomer.
There will be alternate endings, and there may be alternate chapters but i would have to be very carefull with altering a chapter. "Pluck but a single thread and the whole weave unravels."
If it is recommended, i will make polls about some of the things that will and/or might appear in the story. If it isn't recommended i will stay away from making polls.
So, any idea's or suggestions?
If it is okay, i can post links to the topics on the other forums so that you can get a chance to read some of the other ideas other people have suggested. For now though im going to leave it at this. So, any ideas and/or suggestions?
