This tale was co-written by my wife and I over a few years. My part in it was smoothed and filled by the superb writing and editing by my wife Alqualisse. It was originally posted on the Henneth Annun story website, but when they wrapped up operations, migrated everything over to An Archive Of Our Own. I was going to copy and post it here but there are some few parts that woud likely violate the rules/TOS here. So I will do as suggested and post a link with a language and concept warning... well, mostly a concept warning. Language is pretty clean except for a couple moments. There is battle and war violence, and there is a couple sexual scenes. So without further ado, here it is in its entirety...Cardolan's LegacyFeel free to comment here about it if you wish.

This is an interesting read! I'll have to bookmark it and eventually will read the whole thing!

My wife and I wrote Cardolan's Legacy over a few years. Once we finally wrapped it up, we then started writing a bit of a prequel that started at the time of the War of the Ring, and we're bringing that to a close now. In fact I'm writing the second to the last post for it. It is posted in full by my wife over on TORC. Here is a link to The Ranger and the Shieldmaiden. It is rather short as we are writing this one in less than a year.

Hanasian, is there a link to Cardolan's Legacy that doesn't require joining the Archive of Our Own site? I can easily access The Ranger & The Shieldmaiden, but not the archived Cardolan.

Most of the 'free' fanfiction sites have ceased to exist (Many Paths To Tread, Open Scrolls, likely this place when the domain expires in a couple months). I'm working on getting them all into the Library of Annuminas on RP Repository (link in my signature), but I think you need to register to see the group there. I would say Tolkien Forums, but they had a 10K character limit and Elora gave up trying to post it there I think.

If anyone sees this, know that there is a Middle Earth Roleplaying group here:
RP Repository
The site is safe, secure, and actively moderated.
Also, Tolkien Forums is active with current discussions, and a library of old thread going back to 2001. I recommend registering there.
