(It has been awhile since I have posted, so here I go.)
It has been a few years since Ruth Ann had initially left the Shire the last time. Frodo Baggins scurried around the house picking up the usual items and placing them in their designated spots when he noticed some figure in the other room.
It was Gandalf. He had returned to tell Frodo of the Ring of Power and all such knowledge that needed to be said relating to the subject. With this, Frodo was given the task of taking the Ring of Power to Rivendell, and he courteously agreed to take on this task.
Quickly packing a bag, Frodo left the house within a matter of hours to be accompanied by Gandalf and Samwise Gamgee.
----------------------------
Ruth Ann was still a little while away from the Shire, but she had quickly hustled back as soon as she heard about a new threat processing to travel to the Shire. She had acquired a summary of the situation surrounding all of the inhabitants of Middle Earth, but the fear of her friends being alright instilled in Ruth Ann the need to return home as fast as her little hobbit feet could take her.

It was not until her feet were on the dusty dirt roads of the Shire that Ruth Ann slowed her pace. Listening, Ruth Ann nerves detected an unearthly and menacing silence that had taken over the realm that was so lovingly referred to as the Shire.
Ruth Ann breathed heavily as she slowly motioned herself forward and kept a wary eye out for anything that would seem out of place. The rumors she had heard of the creatures attacking the Shire had now thus appeared to be true, and Ruth Ann, taking that into fact, had decided that the second worst occurance would be to run into one of these creatures only to be topped by one of her friends running into one of these creatures.
At Bag End, Ruth Ann's heart stopped for a moment when she saw that the door was already open. She quickly bit her lip and proceeded to go inside of the houes only to find the entire place in a wreck. Her adrenaline was the only thing that was able to push her forward and browse through the whole house. In all, she saw tables toppled over, papers scattered across the floor with some that had moved all of the way over to be burned in the fire, but, in the end, she only noticed disorganized objects lying around the house and did not see Frodo.
Part of her was filled with enthusiasm. If she was to truly be honest with herself, she believed whatever these creatures were would have killed anyone in sight and gone off. However, that part of her soon faded as she thought of what may have occured: a kidnapping rather than a murder.
