Here's a poem that I sent into and was put up on a site called HaP awhile back and I was looking for some opinions of it from you here. I hope that you like it.

You didn't raise me
Yet I praised thee
A good lawful man
And yet you ran
I came to find that you were a scallywag
And to think that I was bad to brag
At first I didn't beleive
But now I clearly see
I was once proud of my name
But now it only brings shame
To the English it brings fear
And pirates hold it dear
You show compassion
In such a weird fashion
Yet it's my breaking heart that I can't take
Rather than my back that achs
I owe you nothing or so you say
So why does it hurt me to walk away
Perhaps saved you can be
We'll have to wait and see
