Post subject: | A Poem For My Mom(G) |
I wrote this about 2 years ago, and I know its really in its beginning stages, but I'm going to post it anyway. comments appreciated. ![]() Mom, Beside you I walked, Beside you I talked, You helped me mature and grow, So why did you have go? What were you thinking? When your thoughts were sinking? Did you worry about me? Did you wonder about how I was going to be? On the day you died, I sat beside you and cried. I never knew how much I needed you, Until the day life would not see you through. Several years past the day, My thoughts are no longer gray, My life has growing happiness, And I'll never see the end of this. Part of me keeps you locked away, To where once in a while my thoughts will stray, because you were like no other, because you were my mother. |

Stunningly beautiful, my friend! You really nailed the bitter-sweet feeling, which is one that pulls extra hard on my heartstrings. A lovely poem that you should be very proud of indeed. |

It's very beautiful, Risetel. Beautiful things often come from trials. |

Sometimes sadness is where the best works come from, because there is normally a happier conclusion. Thanks for your comment. |
