Flying free.
Finding the person

Taking off the mask,
Leaving your comfort cage.
Putting yourself out there,
Stepping onto the stage.

This is your moment;
This is your time.
This is it;
It's your turn to shine.

Forget who you were;
Forget your past.
It's naught but a memory;
It won't last.

It's time for something fresh;
It's time for something new.
It's time to be who you'ev always wanted;
It's time to be you.

Nice. Makes me want to go bare my secrets and just not care anymore, but that's not exactly optimal when I give it a thought. Kudos to ya for making something that makes you feel.

thanks. :) funny, that's kinda where i was cumin from w/ it....bearing secrets (2 a certain extent....) & not caring anymore....glad it made yha feel. thanks for the comment

Hey pip! I really liked it a lot actually. :) As already said it's got a nice flow to it. But more than that, it's short but really gets the point across.

I also like the whole theam of the poem, very nice. :)

Agreed, it is insperational. Although I have a feeling if i was the "real me" around people in my real life that it might do more harm than good some places. lol

And I just read a poem and say what i really think about it. And to be honest there are not that many poems that I read and then think "That was a really good poem."
I don't know why but it takes a lot for me to really like a poem a lot.

haha yha i kno wut u mean jax. but hey, sumtimes it's better 2 get it out, even if it's bad, than keep it bottled up where it does u harm, rite? thanks jax! everyone's comments mean a lot 2 me :)

Yes, very true.

It doesn't matter whether I like it or not (thats just my personal opinion) Everyone has different opinions, but if your writing from the heart and doing your best, regardless of how good it is, who you are, or how many people like (or don't like it) I would say it's a master piece all the same. :)

And it does help to get it out, very much so!
