OK guys and gals, ladies and gents (fans of Varda) *coughelentharicough* This is a small trifle of a poem I wrote about Varda, queen of the Valar. Enjoy As bright as fresh driven mountain snows, As clear of voice like rushing water, With eyes that sparkle, clear as a north wind that blows, And mortal description oft doth falter. The kindler of a burning flame so bright, That high in the heavens she set it to, And the aim of this immortal light, Is to brighten the hopes of men, and Eldar too. And hearing she can discern all sounds on earth, Of cry for aid, and hope that men require, And she gives her blessing, and removes their hopes dearth, And gave men for a sign a burning briar. As queen of the Lords of the West she stands, Next to Manwe, Lord of the mighty Air, And dwells on the straight road from mortal lands, And she lives in peace, immortal, ever fair. |

Very nice. And good original rhymes too. I think the flow could be a little smoother, maybe if you try to make each line more identical in length? Keep writing. |
