Well, here's a little poem I cooked up a couple of weeks ago. Constructive criticism is most welcome.

The Evening

Twilight on the misty moors,
To starlight on the windy shores.
Eventide is rolling in,
The world is going soft and dim.

As quiet flows between the hills,
Shadow enters 'neath the boughs,
A little creature's movement stills,
The wind in leafy branches soughs.

A gentle rustle of nocturnal beast,
Wending off to the midnight feast.
As sunlight drops from the western sky
Comes a time of peace, when rest is nigh.

*sighs contentedly*

I had no idea you were such a good poet, Darrell. Truly, you're style of writing really flows. The rhyming is a nice touch as well. Each line moves into the next easily. Brilliant job! Any chance you'll be writing more?

*bows* Thank you. It was a while since I wrote anything, so I was pleased when this appeared :D As to more, I am about the least prolific writer ever, so it'll probably be months until the next poem. However, you can find the sum total of my literary works in this section (a very long way down). Titles of the poems are; Drifting, Poetic License, The World Beyond.

I have a couple more ideas for poetry, so I hope to add to that list soon :P

As beautiful as the other poems of yours that I've had the joy of reading.

And, as always, I look forward to the next sudden creation!
