Wrote this a few months ago, just remembered I wrote it, so here it is, based on an extremely personal experience.C&C welcome.
"She's built a lovely facade.
One that you all can see.
Hiding behind the mask
Seems easier than saying whats on her mind.
A facade
That makes things seem better.
Like she doesn't care
Like it's all been fixed.
Happiness seems easier to fake
Than to say what she really feels.
Joy comes as an easy lie
And indifference is simply put.
Because prying off the mask
And the lies
And exposing what lies beneath,
Causes so much pain.
The truth lays bare
Stinging in the light of the sun.
The truth that she has hidden
Away from you.
You take your heart
And she'll take hers.
To hide it from the world.
To hide it away from you.
A lovely facade
That everyone can see.
And two only know the truth
Of what really lies beneath."

wow... for non-ryming poetry that is really nice. (I tend to like ryming better usually)
Of course it may be because that is a nearly perfect description of what I used to be like when I was going through my more troubled itmes.
Either way, nice job.
