First time with something this long, anyway here's a rough draft.
How like the eve
that lady fair
who waits for he
who fights for her
Black tresses of hair
an elven woman
who loves a mortal man
as Luthien loved Beren
Fair as the stars
thus evenstar her name
Elessar holds her heart
she will not sail away
She will not go to Valinor
the undying land across the sea
she lingers in Middle-Earth in Imladris
though Elrond Half-elven would have his daughter leave with him
Elessar goes towards Mordor
but there he shall not reach
until the end when darkness falls
and in Orodruin is the the ring
In Imladris, still the Evenstar lingers
refusing to sail away
she stays there and waits there for her love
"The darkness does not hold sway"
Elessar fights and wins renown
but with her his heart will remain
though she is immortal and he is not
she loves him all the same
Now the time has come to make the choice
and doubt is gone not given voice
and she immoral elven and fair
chose a mortal life for Isildur's heir
She is lost
to elven-kind
but knows her heart
and knows her mind
they have been wed
Elessar and Evenstar
Sauron was thrown down
the queen's kin leave and travel far
For queen of Gondor is that elf so fair
Who made the choice of Luthien
and did not leave behind this world
but left her people for a mortal man
Joy now reigns in Middle-Earth
a new ruler and a new age
never shall she have to fear
losing her love a king of men
For when he departs from this world
she shall not live forever
but follow him beyond Mandos' halls
as did Luthien her kin
How like the eve
is that lady fair
who is joined now with he
whose love kept her there
