A Member of the Band-
Through simple beginings
A guitar in his hands,
Lyrics in his mind,
And a boyish shag on his head.
A partnership with Paul
Leads to expression of brillence.
As he sings out for Help,
And waters the workings of peace with a dreamy look in his eye.
As he tells people to dance in a raspy voice
And he plays genious riffs.
Through self expressoin he sets his opinion
"We're more popular than Jesus," said he
In a conceited motion,
Almost as bad as giving up knighthood.
Hetried to live in peace
With his rose colored glasses on his nose,
And homely clothing on his back.
On December the eighth
Going to see his son,
John Lennon's last words rang out in a lobby
"I'm shot"
