Just somethign fun I thought up.
When I was a little boy my mom told me,
You can be anything you want to be.
She said "You can be a doctor or a waiter serving tea,"
So I figured I could also be a weeping willow tree.
I thought I'd be a cowboy, or maybe be a king,
I thought about the medow birds, how beautifully they sing.
I thought about the mountain peeks that stretch into the sky.
I was sure they were the kings of earth on thrones way up high.
Finally I decided on the simplest of things,
I decided I'd be a butterfly with iridescent wings.
I'd fly across the mountain peeks to look at everything.
I would fly through the medow and I'd hear the sparrows sing.
I'd be the king of butterflies and have a heard of bees,
I would build a castle and a ranch in the weeping willow trees.
Some may say it's foolishness the things I want to be,
But I'm happy as can be in the weeping willow tree.
