A voice to chase away my shadows
A breath to lessen the strain
Condemned, never to understand
To travel hand-in-hand with Pain

The living life is out of reach;
The agonizing things we've seen
We were blessed to see, and now
It poisons what we've always been

Fighting for my own life's sorrows,
For the hope that I can stay the same
Twisted, already, to the whims of the shadows
Fated to die amidst this rain

You can chase away my shadows
Your voice will heal me again
Someday I can make sense of this darkness
And forget the bitter side of Pain
