I personally like Huan was a great character! i loved him! and how he talked and saved Beren and Luthien. i just loved it! and he was a great wolfhound of Valinor! anyone else have a fav character/part? |

I loved Huan too. I called my dog Huan for weeks after I read that even though she's a girl. |

Huan was your favorite character in The Silmarillion? Not Beren, Luthíen, Turín, Tuor, Finrod, Fingolfin, Fingon, Turgon, Glorfindel, or Ecthelion? Wow.... Anyways, minus Turín, those that I mentioned are my favorite characters from that book. |

I also liked Nienna, who was the Lady of Pity and Mourning right? was that her name? and my fav. story was OF TURIN TURAMBAR and I liked OF MAEGLIN. |

Oha, my fav character.. there are soo many that I like. First of all: the Valar. I like them all, but I particularly like Manwe, Varda, Ulmo and Nienna. the Elves: I really like Finrod Felagund, he was such a good elf especially when he died for Beren to fulfill his oath. I also like Galadriel and Círdan even though they don't appear in the Sil that often. men: I definitely like Túrin's story - it's very sad and touching. |

Olórin is my fav. The greatest of the Maias, became one of the Istari and walked trough Arda so he can help the needed. |

Yeah, I know he was a bad guy, but still! I can kind of relate to him. I'm not a bad person! I promise! Ha ha! I just mean that he's quiet, not as close to his father, etc. My favorite human: Turin... his is a depressing story. I can relate to him as well. |

I agree with Aerandir. All of those were great, even Turin, although it was wierd how he died. But I also liked Huan. He was awesome. |

I know she doesn't really take much of a central role, so she can't really be my favourite, but hearing about the history of Galadriel and her people just gives her so much more weight to me. I rewatched the lotr movies soon after my first read of the silmarillion and... just knowing who she is and what she's been though.... I just get the shivers when I see her name or face now. Apart from Galadriel... Finrod and Cirdan hold special little places in my heart. |

Fingolfin. Finrod Felagund. Definitely him. Beren and Luthien, obviously. BELEG STRONGBOW. My goodness. EPICNESS. Turin is also one of my favourites, since he is VERY HUMAN (well, sure, he did some bad stuff but okay. He's still awesome). Galadriel. HUAN! Huan was awesome. Manwe and Varda/Elbereth. Orome is also pretty cool! |
