I have to admit to a little bit of Maglor squeeing in the past...and Maedhros is awesome, for having red hair. Among other things.
Also, I used to be kinda obsessed with Maeglin. Maybe I just have a thing for tragic elves...

I never really cruched over Maglor, but I still harbor a definate love for Maedhros. He's just so epic!

I also like Turin. He's such a schmexy, angsty soul. Of course, if I met him in real life I'd probably smack him for being such a Debbie-Downer.

But I ADORE Beleg! He pwns every one, end of story. He's one of my only literary loves that isn't an angsty mess.

I actually have no such difficulty avoiding crushes on the male characters, Naur, no worries. :P

Tbh, I don't know that I have a 'crush' on any of the characters, except maybe Lúthien, and I think that any male in his right mind has a crush on her after reading The Silmarillion, so that's not much help. :P

Haha, Aerlinn. I'm sure I didn't help at all with the fact that I'm a huuuuuge fan of Finrod and posted artwork of him? :P

It's kind of weird, but he reminds me of a golden retriever too. And Maedhros and Maglor are like...I have no idea.

I know this thread's a little old now and I hope no one minds me resurrecting it, it's just that I read the first post and HAD to comment. I feel I have found kindred souls :P

The first time I read The Sil, I grew really, really attached to Maedhros, so much so that I was almost crying when he finally perished. And when he was hanging on Thangorodrim and begging Fingon to kill him, I just wanted to give him the biggest cuddle ever, haha. I remember pausing for a moment, mid-chapter, and thinking to myself "Hold on a second, I have a crush on this elf!"

And even now, many years later, I still have a soft spot for him :P
