Why are there two of the same post?

But no, I haven't read the letters of Tolkien. How are you liking them so far?

It's really good :)
Some of them aren't actually LotR related, but most of the letters are when JRR Tolkien is writing to his son Christopher about the progress of LotR and everything, it's amazing seeing LotR in progress.

That sounds just like what I'd be interested in. I'll be sure to look it up when I'm back home for the summer.

It was just a mistake, most likely, handled by mods now. :)

I haven't read them, mostly because... I haven't had the inspiration to.

I never kicked myself to read these letters. I don't know but I smell something that is not really my kind of things.

I picked over these when I was writing a research project last year; there's some interesting pieces about WWI to be found. :)

What was your research project about, if you don't mind me asking.

It was nothing, I might have just clicked submit twice, but I deleted it. No big deal.

It was about how WWI influenced LOTR and The Hobbit--a lot about underground locations/trenches, the evils of machinery, and destruction of landscapes. :) To date, it's probably the most fun I've ever had with a school assignment.

Ooh, that does sound very interesting. LotR and The Hobbit as allegories for WWI? That actually sounds like a fascinating concept...into Tolkien's mind.

Ok, my mum ordered Letters for herself so now I have free way for just trying it :P Well, maybe I will really try, if it will be on shelf.
