Hi! I heard that Singapore will soon be making e-invoices mandatory. Is this true? When will it start? I need to understand how this will affect my business. Can someone explain what will happen in 2026? |

Singapore plans to make e-invoices mandatory from 1 September 2026. However, there is a possibility that this date may be pushed back to 1 December 2026. It is important to note that since May 2018, the government agency IMDA has been monitoring the use of the Peppol network, which allows the exchange of electronic documents between companies. Already in January 2019, a new service, InvoiceNow, was launched, and since 2020, it has been possible to submit invoices through this channel. There is also a program offering a grant for registration in the system, which will end at the end of 2020.
