We’re building a mid-sized SaaS product and getting ready to hook into several external platforms—payment processors, analytics, some third-party CRMs. I’m a little overwhelmed thinking about how to manage all the API integrations efficiently and in a scalable way. Did anyone here go through a similar phase? How did you decide whether to build your integrations in-house or bring in help?

When our product started relying on multiple services—Stripe, Segment, HubSpot—the internal juggling act became ridiculous. We initially wrote custom wrappers, but maintaining them quickly turned into a full-time job. What helped us was working with a partner experienced in API orchestration. We used a service through https://patternica.com/api-integration-services and they didn’t just plug in APIs, they structured the entire interaction layer—error handling, authentication, data normalization—so we could focus on the product itself. It turned our fragmented setup into something maintainable. Definitely saved us long-term headaches.

Honestly, anyone scaling a product with more than two external services should think about how API calls are managed and maintained—it adds up faster than you expect.
