Yes the Narn I Hîn Húrin is a very dark and sad story... but that's one of the reasons why I like it so much... it makes the story special in some way

I did not mean the Earndil and Elwings love was greater or that they went through more peril then Beren and Luthien i mean that they were sort of an image of it, and they were my absolute favorite.

i have alot of fav. Sil characters....

Mine is probably Feanor. I liked his personality and how he was a craftsmen...i also like Yavanna, Aredhel, Nienna.

i can't say there are too many so i'll say all of them(except the evil ones)

Originally my favorite was Yavanna, but later I changed my mind, and my favorite is now Maglor. Huan is a close second though... (yay, dogs!)

there are so many-it's hard to decide...well-of female characters- Melian is the one i respect the most,a powerful maia with great wisdom and kindness,beautiful and honorable. Also Aredhel-a tragical character in my opinion-an elf of adventureous spirit,brave and beautiful, gave her life for her son who in the end betrayed her and her people.
Elbereth and Yavanna are my favorites of the Valier, probably because they respresent the two things I admire and love-sky and nature.

Of male characters-Turgon,a great king of elves, Huan-ok,a dog, but still, very much important ,brave and kind.
Earendil -because of the great things that he did, and Gil-Galad, who I find very interesting.
