How much do we wanna bet that this man hails from Westboro. Some people are so ridiculous and ill in the head. Gotta feel sorry for them.

O.o I wonder if they even know what The Hobbit is all about? Well well, some people just can't leave things be.

People seem to always need something to pick at and tear down...

^ Yep, they do. I guess boycotting a movie is just an easy way to express a lot of built-up frustration.
But sometimes it makes me little sad that we always have to defend movies like LOTR and Harry Potter :-(

I know, I get frustrated about it all. Mainly because it seems the group doing to boycotting hasn't even read the books or seen the movies for whatever they're boycotting, its more like 'well we read an article and it said it has this in it, so we dont like that!' Makes me want to say 'i see, question, whats it like to be a mindless sheep following the herd?'

Good point sis! I guess not everyone wants to take the effort to actually read/watch/listen something before having an opinion about it or even worse, boycotting it. Ofcourse it's okay to dislike something, as long as you know what you're talking about instead of just copying the behaviour of others..

This is magic of riot  I don't like people who don't have their own views.

Besides boycotting The Hobbit? Common...

^ My thoughts exactly  I just read a list of the top highest grossing movies in their opening weekends of all times (or something like that), and I was wondering if the Hobbit would make it to the top 10. After all, next December it's been 9 years since the ROTK had its premiere, so we've waited long enough to be incredibly excited about this :-D
And no stupid boycot is going to convince us otherwise!

Holy cow, 9 years since RotK? Has it really been that long? Actually now that I think of it yeah, it has, because I went to the movie with an ex-best friend, she hadn't yet stabbed me in the back, her dagger was just startin to go it but it hadn't twisted around yet....Wow, nine years. Thats the only LotR movie I saw in theaters, so I'm excited to see the Hobbit in the theater!

I agree. I am a Christian myself, and I find this article to be, quite frankly, rather stupid. Before you're gonna go and say Jackson is encouraging witchcraft, you might want to consider reading the books. I mean, seriously?? The Hobbit came first. PJ isn't trying to support bringing characters from the dead, he is just attempting to bring Tolkien's world to the big screen. And even though the director of a film doesn't share the same beliefs as you, he's not necessarily going to weave his own beliefs into the story. His religion is totally unrelative to the situation at hand.

Pardon my ranting.
