Contrary to all stereotypes that opera is boring and outdated, the production of ""Lessons in Love and Violence"" at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, proves the opposite. This 2018 work, created by two masters of their craft - composer George Benjamin and librettist Martin Crimp - has become a real event for all fans of the genre.

If you think that modern opera cannot be relevant or exciting, then this production can change your mind. ""Lessons in Love and Violence"" explores themes of power, manipulation and human relationships. All this is presented through the prism of complex musical compositions and deep lyrics.

The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, is known for its mastery of creating unique productions. And this project is no exception. The scenery amazes with its scale and attention to detail, and the costumes allow you to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of what is happening on stage.

Particular attention should be paid to Benjamin's music. His compositions are full of drama and subtle emotional nuances. They seem to lead the audience by the hand through all the twists and turns of the plot, making them experience every note along with the performers.

The artists also deserve the highest praise. Their vocal mastery and acting create magic on stage, making every moment unforgettable. The audience leaves the hall impressed by what they saw, reflecting on the themes that touched them deep inside.

Overall, ""Lessons in Love and Violence"" is a brilliant example of how opera can be modern and relevant. The Royal Opera House has once again proven its status as one of the world's leading centers of art. If you have not yet been to this production, I strongly recommend that you correct this omission at the earliest opportunity!
