fun, I waiting till my mom and my sister wear out the DVDs, we got it on tape (EE) of FotR and it wore out so that's why we got a DVD player, and they've gone to desperate messures to protect those DVDs, it's quite amusing to watch

Well, I try to take good care of my DVDs too! I must hold them carefully, put it in the drive carefully . . .

How many discs are in the EE? Is it 4? That's a whole lot.

Oh I love watching the Behind the Scenes - it's so cool watching how they made such an excellent film.

Wait . . . you changed your avatar. And you changed your first banner! I like it! :bye2:

I think I'll join in on you little convo here if that's okay...

I got the EE in a package for christmas. It was like 125 $ canadian for all three. Something like that I can't really remember though. I was so surprised when I got it. I had asked for it but I did not expect to get it. I'm the only person in my family that likes LotR. The other day my mom actually said "Who's Gollum?" and she was serious! I was horrified.

I love all the extra things. There's so much in the EE though. I've hardly watched any of it. Two DVDs of extras for each movie. My favorite out of everything is the commentary though. Especially Cast Commentary. Dom and Billy are really funny :)

Back to the original question, my favorite scenes were with Faramir  His character was changed a lot which made me mad but I still like to watch him...I mean *cough* the scenes...

I saw all three for about . . . eighty-five dollars or something. I thought that was expensive, but I guess it isn't. I'm waiting for the price to go down.

If two of the four discs are for the extended scenes, what are the other two discs about? I'm curious to know. :bye2:

Discs 1 & 2 are the movie, Discs 3 & 4 are the appendices

Discs 3 & 4 in FotR:
Appendices pt.1: From Book to Vision
Appendices pt. 2: From Vision to Reality
Discs 3&4 in TTT
Appendices pt. 3: The Journey Continues…
Appendices pt. 4: The Battle for Middle-earth Begins
Discs 3&4 in RotK:
Appendices pt. 5: The War of the Ring
Appendices pt. 6: The Passing of an age

It's the making of the movies. You get a little chart thing for each disc. Here's the one from Appendices pt. 2:

I love all the battle scenes and stuff but my favorite scene has to be Arwen's Fate. The part when it shows Aragorn's death and Arwen by his side always breaks myheart and it's one of my favorite part of the appendices of the book.

oh wow thanks! I don't have any of the EEs - kind of expensive - anyway, I was wondering how much information they had that they needed four discs - thanks! That's another example of how you're so helpful Beriadanwen!

I wish I could see the EEs . . . :bye2:

My favourite scene from TTT is the Uruk-Hai, I just love the first moments when we see Aragorn and then Legolas and Gimli who are tired rinning three days but continue after all, I love it!
My favourite moment has to be Legolas shooting against the Wargs while you hear the Isengard theme - just before the jump on the horse.
