Man, I saw Eomer in the second movie. I was shocked anybody else but me here think that he looked great and the actor fit the character perfectly in the story? I loved the way they casted him. They really did a great job with these movies.
I just kinda wish you would have seen him get to do a little more fighting then in the one you got to see. Why did they give him the smaller parts in the movie?

Just based on his apperance he was perfectly cast. He played such a small part in the movie, so I didn't really get a feel for his character, other than the usual 'noble', 'brave', 'strong-willed' hero-type. I guess they had to focus on few main characters and in the TTT they couldn't spend time on building a new character, like Tolkien does in the book - sadly enough the same that happened to Faramir in the original version.. *sniffle*

He is the best helmet-wear-er in the entire movie! Eomer is PERFECT.

And he had one heck of a temper on him when you ticked him off. Eomer's character was one of the best in The Two Towers. Either then Legolas ofcourse.
It is good to see that he has many fans that like him. I could only imagine the several fanfics everyone writes on him tucked away in notebooks in their rooms.

LoL.
I don't think they could have done a better job casting him. Like Princess of Ithilien said, he looks good in a helmet.

Yup, I think they did do an excellent job on casting Eomer's charatcer. Seeing as I saw the movies before I read the books, when I saw TTT in theaters and Eomer came on screen, Im like "Woww!!! this guy is neat!!"

I read the books before TTT came out, but after FotR, and at first I thought they did a terrible job casting for Eomer, but now I think he looks okay. Somewhat. I always pictured his hair to be blonder, instead of the near-brown it is in the movie.

I think he's really cool! PJ did a great job casting everybody. Eomer's character is very believable.

I just wish we got to know him more in the movies, because he was potentially a really interesting character...

Ditto to that. I loved Eomer in the books, and I wished he had been in the movie more.

I'm right in the middle of TTT at the moment, and so far what I read about Eomer, I think PJ has captured quite well. One thing I like about Eomer is how his face stays solid, but in his eyes, you can tell his emotion, which is the same for Faramir... Well, at least as I see it.

Has anyone else noticed that when Eomer is in armor he always has practically the same expression on his face? He (almost) always looks like he is glaring.

The only times he doesn't have that expression are when he's out of armor, and in the end of RotK, at Aragorn's Coronation. It's a good thing he wasn't glaring there

Well, should he be smiling when he's in armor? That's not exactly intimidating.

But it's not just when he's in battle--he simply never smiles when he's in armor. Even if he has nothing to gain by 'intimidating' someone. *shrugs* I'm sure PJ had his reasons...
