I voted that he should not have died. This is simply for the reason that he does not die in the books, nor does an elven army go to Helm's Deep. It just bugs me.

I just needed to vent a little... And this seemed like a very creative way to do it! Yes, i realize i have no life and this is stupid but i hope other Haldir fans will enjoy this as much as i enjoyed making it and being silly in the process! This is on why he died and your opinion on what should have happened... that's as best i can explain it. I know it's long but i like a lot of options.... Vote! Glad |

HA!!! I love polss! I voted whirl around and kill the orc like leggi'O boy... I thought that from the very beginign. If they were going to have him die they should not have had him die pathetically. He could have at least had 4 or 5 orcs attacking him which would have been understandable that he died. One orc.... NO! No elf should be unable to defeat a single orc or even be caught off guard by a single orc.. *sighs* yeah there is my venting.

Haldir should not have died. he should have killed that orc. well I still live in denial. Haldir did NOT die because Tolkien did not write it. 'nuff said.

I'll agree with you int he fact that he was not that important in the movie. (have not got past the silmarilion so have not read the books yet... lol working towards it slowly.. )
But like I said... my problem is largly the way he died... so patheticlly. it's almost as bad as how the Jedi all died in starwars Episode 3.... he should not have died like that! I mean seriously... one orc? *shakes head* no way.... Oh well... while I'm hear let me say WELCOME TO THE FORUM ArwenUndomiel54!!  Hope to see you around the forum some more.

Yeah exactly... but then all the Elves were completely annihilated as easily as paper dolls, it was pretty disgusting to watch. I also hated how Haldir died on his knees. |

yup... Elves are suposed to be like the ultimate warrior in middle earth (asside from things like trolls, ents and large things etc... but even those some elves could handle) And yeah... Haldir on his knees... almost made it look like an execution scene...

It's crazy cause they're supposed to be known for their ability to fight because of their experience and the thousands of years of training and their technique and whatnot... but they were sooo easy to kill. Yeah I just can't get over it. 
Haldir fell to his knees right before that orc... it was lame, I still can't believe PJ did that, ugh. /rant |
