During the scene wherien Smeagol is discussing with gollum what to do with the hobbits in the pond, it is sooo amsuing to hear Smeagol's voice.

If you listen to Smaegol's voice during these quotes you will laugh till your head explodes lmao. I dont know if these quotes are all exactly correct but youll know what i mean as soon as you hear them!:

'we will lead them...to the white stairs/sky[dont know which one lol]...'
'the tunnel'
'the precious will be oursss once the hobbitses are dead!'

gollum

'patience...patience my love'

You are right. Sometimes I pity the creature but seeing him talking to himself is one of the funny things that I like. :-D

Actally it show's the dual personality of Gollum. PJ has taken it really well. you really get in to the mood of conversation. in the book, you need real good imagination. i too really loved that chat.

(This is horid) I laughed at Smeagol's voice. When he would switched back and forth I started cracking up, but my sis was like " Ewww, skip skip!" But I just kept on laughing....I don't know why :laughbounce:

I found that when the conversation is between Gollum and Smeagol, it's one of my favorite scenes! It's just so amusing to hear their voices and um...-coughs- I try to imitate it sometimes with my sister. ^^

It is just so funny when Gollum and Smeagel talk back and forth. I just crack up, it is like something from an out take. :laughbounce:

I know it is funny. :-D I always crack up whenever I am watching that scene and mom is like "What do you find so funny? It looks like the guy has personality problems." :P

No i completley agree! The contrasting tones of cute and rough demonstrated as both Gollum and Smeagol converse demonstrates how diffrenet each of the chracaters are. Andy Serkis was brilliant!

I do find the voice huuugley entertaining however! I just can't help it!

..a little disturbing, but it does show without a doubt, that Smeagol/Gollum is a divided personality
..not quite knowing whom to trust or what to do

And the part in ROTK when hes talking about brining them to Shelobs lair, and then Sam hears him. Gollums has spit come out of his mouth and it drips into the water haha. That was gross/funny. But it was REALLY disgusting in the beginning when he was eating the fish and all the juice was squirting out of his mouth...ewwww!

:confused2: I am at a loss as to why it is supposed to be so humorous. I never laugh when he's talking to himself in that scene--it doesn't seem funny at all.

Am I just really, really different from you guys, or were you all on sugar-highs when you watched it?

well if you listen to the way in which Andy Serkis says the words when playing Smeagol it's immensley but i must say i love it! It's fun to watch! :-D

Maybe I do get sugar high, but is is kind of funny when he is talking to himself.

I find it extremely amusing to watch the converstations between Gollum and Sméagol. I don't think those could be made any better. In the books I had some difficulties with imagining Gollum's/Sméagol's conversations, but when I saw the movie, it was like wow, so this is how it is like. Andy Serkis was definitely the best choice to play Gollum.
