Rocky Horror Picture Show. And I saw it in a theater, with a lot of other people. It was a very interesting experience, as all of you who have seen it in theater will know. For those of you who havn't seen it in a theater, go! Seriously, its frikkin' amazing.

FM & Gimli:: *takes a bow*
Well, in my defense I need to mention that it was announced as Doctor Zhivago in the TV-guide! And it was on TCM so in the beginning I didn't pay much attention to all the grey gentlemen talking, but then they started talking about going around the world in 80 days and I was like.. "Hey peeps! Wrong movie!!" :P

Hmm... we'll let you off then, if the TV guide got in wrong. ;)

shooting dogs, about the massacre in rwanda. there are no words to decribe how devastating that film is - i found it even more distressing than hotel rwanda. mum doesn't understand how i can watch those films, but i believe that we shouldn't shy away from things just because they're 'not nice'. we owe it to the people we in the west betrayed to know the truth.

on a more positive note, the film does win the award for second best catholic priest on film (first prize goes to karl malden's character in on the waterfront) - it makes a nice change to see a film show a member of the clergy who isn't a drunk or a paedophile, and who does the right thing and truly represents his faith and his God.

Gimli:: So gracious be thee!

ethelfleda:: There is an award for second best Catholic priest??? I never knew...

By the way, all you Slumdog people, please go to my Slumdog thread and tell me why I should go see the movie! :-) But I'll probably go see it even without recommandations!

I tried to watch Traffic again, but it failed to keep my attention...

Good job, my dear, why didn't you sell the concept to the Academy people yet? :-)

I just watched Babel... and I failed to see its greatness... and why didn't Cate Blanchett get more screentime??? But to do the movie justice, I'm sure it would have looked a lot better on the big screen! And I loved the storyline about the deaf Japanese girl - it deserved to be a short film of its own! :-)

Horton Hears a Who! - this movie was really great... I thoroughly enjoyed its quirkiness and just cute-ness. :P It was actually better than I had expected... and the animation was beautiful. :D

@JF - I've just finished reading To Kill a Mockingbird... and want to see the movie. :P How is it?

The Scent of a Woman - I think that's what it's called... :erm: Anyway, I was thinking of Darky while watching it. :teehee: I didn't overly enjoy it. I dunno why. I just don't get it, I guess... :P
