All of this Twilight hatred cracks me up. It isn't bad. But it isn't prestigious. It is just a story...
The fan base is a different situation altogether, though.

I'm totally on the Twilight bandwagon right now but, as is the case with all my fandoms, it's really only because I found some fab screencaps to make pretty graphics from. I have low standards.
Course you can join, maxx! You need to get yourself an ever-changing sig/avatar, though.

I completely agree with you, smeag. Overall, it's not a badly written story. But sometimes the best books are the ones that are left alone and don't have a huge, obsessive fan base. Except for LotR, of course. 
Welcome, maxx! Chameleons have all the fun here on AU, so it's a good thing you joined.

We have 28 pages left until page 200, what's going to be our celebratory forum-takeover?
Figured we should start planning now to allow for 20 pages of planning and 8 pages of randomosity[or the other way around]

That would be pretty epic. Let's start a list of the members and put their chosen fandoms next to each other. I'll randomly just group everyone into 3's for now, we can rearrange as necessary[depending on who's actually going to be on to participate]

I supppose I'l take YAFGC then.(Its amazing and you should read it. Its a webcomic)
Its definetely one of the best webcomics.
Edit : Only annoying thing is that mah avatars that I currently have are all pretty much 120X120.......*shakes fist at avatar limitations*

Hmm, I have no idea which fandom to choose! Mainly coz I have no idea what my obsession will be in 28 pages time. Maybe Bones, Torchwood, Heroes, Top Gear, Carlisle Cullen, Star Wars ect. Waaaaaaaah! Maybe a safe option like London or England...
Men, I'll choose the safe never fading option of Kent/London/SouthEast.
