Well, I've finished a couple of my banners for the big 200, I'm not going to show you, because I'm a tease. But I shall tell you they're based on a haunting nursery rhyme called Oranges and Lemons about the bells of the churches of London. The rhyme is thought to pre-date 1666 as the bells of St. Clements Eastcheap were destroyed in the Great fire of London.

It also kinda holds meaning to me, as I use to have a tape with old nursery rhymes that I'd listen to whenever I was at my grandma's and Oranges and Lemons was my favorite.

Quote:
"Oranges and lemons", say the bells of St. Clement's
"You owe me five farthings", say the bells of St. Martin's
"When will you pay me?" say the bells of Old Bailey
"When I grow rich", say the bells of Shoreditch
"When will that be?" say the bells of Stepney
"I do not know", says the great bell of Bow
Here comes a candle to light you to bed
And here comes a chopper to chop off your head!

Oh I know just the one, the scene sends shivers up my spine!

Quote:
The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will we'll roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

Some men have died and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
with the keys to the cage...
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler's Green.

The bell has been raised
from it's watery grave...
Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high...
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

That is of course a must, the hairs on my neck raise everytime that little boy starts to sing that song... eee just thinking about it gives me goosepimples...

by the way I find that Oranges and Lemons thing rather intriguing and can't wait to see them!

Oooh, my grandmother used to tell me that rhyme when I was younger, Lothy! I think she substituted the last line most of the time, though. :P

There's pretty much a Muse or Coldplay song for any occasion, Pan. I'll look around. :D

Funny I was just thinking about Coldplay earlier, there was a string of their songs on my ipod and I couldn't help but think of images to go with them... Ha I am suddenly feeling very inspired!!

What's this, are we making them song-themed themes? :P

And yeah, how all is this working out? How many days, how's the switching working...? Planning is good.

The inspired one? If anyone's inspired, you are! You've basically transformed my style into what it is today. Anything you'll teach, I'll gladly learn!

My thoughts exactly, Nurr! Are we making only one set, or are we making one for everyday and switching with everyone? I'm glad we thought to plan ahead. :)

I changed my set! Finally!

After this weekend I'll knock around some stuff for the 200-page celebration, smooth out the edges and whatnot. But I'm gonna be gone until Monday, for the most part, so yeah. =D

I shall be Caribbean the Chameleon! :pirate: thanks for teh suggestions, Lothy.

I had made banners before all of this celebration talk.. but I wasn't able to upload them last night, for the power cord to our laptop broke and the computer wouldn't work properly without it.

Pretty basic, but I liked them. :P Use at your own risk.

I've finally had time to breathe, which means I had time to make a new set! It's pretty similar to the last one, but I like it that way. :)

Ara, those are fantastic! I'm so using one in the very near future. I love the Rawr one. I'll probably end up making a matching avvie so I can have the complete Chameleon experience. :eyeroll:

Oh dear, I'm way behind on our Chameleon Party thing. I haven't even picked a fandom yet. *facepalm* (Methinks I'll have to summon teh Lothy's awesomeness... *coughcough*)

@Aramel - Those are genius. :P I'll put those up on the first page for easy access. :D

I have quite a few banners done for the 200 page special thing... I am quite excited to wear them with Piratey pride... I'll probably make a lot more than needed but that will let me change often and act even more chameleonly!!!

Thanks SC. :D

Are we allowed to share the same fandom? Or do each of them have to be different? Because I'd love to do PotC with Pandora, but if not I'll settle for Sweeney Todd.
