Thanks, Skitteh. I'm still mad, but I understand why they did what they did, and they sorta left the tiniest possibility for Skate if you look hard enough.
Ewww. Algebra. I refused to take math this year. I hate the stuff. Really? I guess we're both suffering together. Our orchestra has about...ohh...12 people in it. We have to bring in a trumpet player each year because we don't have one. We manage to pull things off, but it's always rough.

We have a huge full orchestra ... but the second violins... oh god they can't play at all. They don't want to play. They do not try to play well. And generally everyone else has no concept of what a key signature is. *sigh*
... Still, I've got a huge solo in our concert, so I can't complain too much.

Our concert went surprisingly well. The entire thing (along with choir and 3 student performances) was under an hour. Yippee! It was my last high school concert, and I'm thrilled to be done with it. Now on to college wind ensemble...where people can actually play!
I feel like if you can't play, you shouldn't be in band. I mean, I didn't choose to be in band, but I still play well. haha
Key signatures are gross. I loath accidentals. Give me C, and nothing more!
Good luck tonight on your solo! I'd love to be able to hear it.

My choir is smaller this year. There are seven people in it. Last year there were probably 20, but all of the seniors graduated and...yeah. I can't exactly sing, so I'm not part of it.
My school's the same way! It's all about the sports and barely about the arts. I'm all into graphic design, and that class was such a joke. 6 Freshman boys? I think you get the picture.

SR *Pats* I feel your pain. I dream of schools that are more arts centered. Watching Fame (the new remake) made me drool and dread going to school for two whole weeks.

I agree as well.
My school's all into sports as well. We're always talking about them and not the arts program.
Not cool.

Possibly one of the saddest parts about schools being more focused on athletics is that very few kids end up sticking with their "high school sport" for the rest of their lives... The arts never die! I can go months without writing a poem or playing my violin (i think... it would be hard to go months without 'em! :O) but if i feel the need to pick up a pen or rosin my bow and play a tune-- I can! I just packed my softball glove away in my closet and the only time I'll probably ever get it out again is to play catch with my little sister or when I move out. :/ I'm just glad I was one of the artsy athletic kids.

Hai, Lembeh! We weren't talking about much. I guess we were just waiting for you to come back. Btw, where's Skittebeeh?
Ara, your set is completely scrumptious. That man is a beast. Is he an actor, too? If so, I need to see him. NAOW.

I was just reading all of the comments about wanting schools to be more arts centered, which made me think about how much fun it would be to have a high school like the show Glee. Lol.

AAAHH *Is flytackleglomped*
tis good to be back and not have to do revision!!
Everyone's new sets looks so amazingly fantastic... I need to get me a new one pdq
Argh Smeag I disagree, not that schools shoudn't be more artsy, just a School like Glee, or East High from HSM would be LIVING HELL... even though I know if I went to it I would totally be like Sharpay- the mega Diva-don't mess with me biatch xD. I love musical theatre more than anything, but I can't stand that sort of Sugary, everyone Loves musical theatre and is high on sugary continually type of thing D:
