"He...he was in my dream...he...caused all of it to happen." she stammered. She knew she hadn't told Markus about seeing Sauron in the mirror. "He was there." she said, as though that explained it all.

Sirel stepped into the room silently , watching the exchange. She wished she knew more about Luna - that way she could comfort her - but as it was, she could do nothing.

Luna sat up as Siriel entered her room. She looked down, embarrassed. "I...just found out some things."

It took her a moment, but Sirel put two and two together. "Oh." She went over and sat beside Luna, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry..."

"Please...do not say that." Luna shook her head. "I...I accept it." she said, her eyes fixed on the floor. "I have to."
She spoke slowly.

"I can imagine it was not easy to see what you did. Even now, you will be having difficulty wrapping your head around it. There's is no easy way of dealing with grief. I wish there was for you." Markus grimaced as he rose and sauntered over to a parting in the leaves. He stared out across the grounds, trying to fathom what little Luna had told him.

"no, it may not be easy, but it needs to be done, if I am to keep living my life." she said quietly. She was having trouble, but, sometimes you just had to do what you had to do.

Sirel heaved a sigh, then fell silent. After a moment, she spoke again. "You don't have to go through this alone though. We're here for you, both of us." She glanced at Markus, knowing as she did that the other elf would agree with her whole-heartedly.

Markus returned Sirel's gaze. "Sirel's right, Luna. We'll be here for you. Whatever you need. All you have to do is ask. We may not be able to understand exactly what you are going through right now, but we can try. If you need to talk, we will happily listen." He smiled reassuringly.

"Thank you." she said, with a small nod. "You both are very kind."

Sirel smiled sadly yet warmly. "That's what friends do. I just wish I could do more... but don't worry; we'll get through this."

"There is nothing else needed done. At least by either of you," she offered a wan smile, her eyes moving to the floor. She had been thinking this place seemed familiar...her eyes widened. "I...come..from here," she choked out.

"What?" Sirel leaned in closer, trying to make eye contact. "What do you mean? Are you remembering more?"

"This...this is my home. My mother and father...leaves Lorien' brooches.." she choked out.

Markus raised his eyebrows. He wondered what had forced Luna to lose her memory the way she had. The mind worked in mysterious ways indeed. "You must be pleased to be remembering so much," he mused.
